Queen - Queen Rocks (Modified) (Compilation) 1997

Я в шоке, но оказывается существуют люди, ни слышавших не одной песни Queen кроме пары самых известных хитов. И это требует срочного вмешательства, для чего я попытался найти официальный сборник тяжелейших вещей группы, таковым заявлялся Queen Rocks, но на мой взгляд на данном сборнике представлены далеко не самые тяжелые и интересные песни, так что я внес некоторые изменения в список композиций (сохранил около 20% плейлиста). Для меня остается загадкой, по какой причине в оригинальный плейлист не вошли мощнейшие The Prophet's Song (которую портит ужасная середина) и Innuendo, скоростные Sheer Heart Attack и Modern Times Rock 'N' Roll, а также не очень тяжелые, но любопытные Was It All Worth It (За счет великолепного начального риффа) и Flick of the Wrist. И завершается данная компиляция балладой, записанной в 1997 оставшимися участниками группы в память о Фредди Меркьюри.

Наглядный пример того, как играть "качёвый" материал и при этом не скатываться до убогих брейков. Вот времена были для металла в середине 80-х — чтобы быть "тяжёлыми" не нужно было орать "прихардкореным харшем", а в качестве риффов выводить невразумительные энгри-кроссовер конструкции. 

К слову, рифф после припева в "The Barbarian" напоминает видоизменённым "Metal Gods" Прист, вам не кажется? Или это я уже совсем "офанател" и "поехал"?) А вторая песня действительно очень занимательна, тяжела, а холодными проигрышами напоминает совсем уж раннюю "блэкуху".
