Obsidious - Iconic (2021); Germany
Obsidious, это группа, относительно недавно сформированная тремя бывшими участниками Obscura (Rafael Trujillo - гитара, Linus Klausenitzer - бас, Sebastian Lanser - ударные). После года поисков, был найден вокалист (Javi Perera), и группа наконец явила публике свой музыкальный материал в виде трека “Iconic”.
По заявлению самих музыкантов, они хотели продолжить развивать идеи, заложенные на альбоме Obscura “Diluvium” (2018), однако творчески не сошлись с лидером группы Штеффеном Куммерером, из-за чего решили объединиться под новым знаменем. Музыкальный материал действительно содержит большое количество отсылок на “Diluvium”, но группа решила не становиться Обскурой 2.0 - и самым явным отличием является вокалист, демонстрирующий многообразие вокальных техник, особенно концентрируясь на чистом вокале.
По одному лишь треку сложно предугадать куда ещё может завернуть группа, но скорее всего, “Iconic” был избран для первой демонстрации с целью очертить все возможные направления, в которых группа будет работать, ну и заодно чтобы показать мастерство музыкантов.
